Join us as we welcome Marie and Baldev Lamba for a very special story time, activity and discussion!
Their book, Green Green, A Community Garden Story, is one of our new favorite books of 2017! Not only a marevelous picture book, rich with colorful language and beautiful illustrations, it also has information about making our world a little greener, and caring for the bees and the butterflies. This event will include a story time, a butterfly craft, and some discussion with the little ones about being green! If weather permits, we will also go outside and visit our community learning garden, and maybe even plant a butterfly bush!
This event is free for members, and $5 per child for non-members. Registration guarantees enterance to rain-site (attic).
We encourage you to pre-order a copy of the book to pick-up at the event! Ticket price may be used towards the purchase of the book!
Green grass is wide and fresh and clean for a family to play in, and brown dirt is perfect for digging a garden. But when gray buildings start to rise up and a whole city builds, can there be any room for green space? The neighborhood children think so, and they inspire the community to join together and build a garden for everyone to share in the middle of the city.
