Mark Magro grew up on an island in New York and left with only the slightest hint of an accent. From there, he spent time teaching in middle schools and high schools, getting more tattoos than he should, and earning more than 6000(and counting!) trophies while playing Playstation. Surfacing is his debut novel and, when worried he wouldn't be able to finish it, he relied heavily on Protocol #4 of the Parkman Institute of Science and Solutions handbook: Don't Panic. He lives in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania with his wife and spoiled dog.
