Do you have a bookclub? Or are you interested in starting one? Purchase your books through us! Each member of the bookclub receives a discount on their club purchase (5 or more). Plus, our meeting room rental is waived for book club participants. See Parties & Events.
CHILDREN'S Book Clubs
Advance Reading Copy (ARC) Clubs - Elementary (3rd - 5th) and Middle Grade (6th-8th or 9th)
The ARC club is in it's 3rd year, and growing! Children are invited to join us and read books that have not yet been published. Then, through reviews and group discussion, help us choose what books to put on our shelves! Children are permitted two books per month, and receive goodies at the last meeting. Fall/Winter and Winter/Spring sessions are 4 months and costs $25.00 per child. Summer session is 3 months and costs $20 per child.
Next session will begin in June. Space is limited to 10 students per group.
Sci-Fi/Fantasy/ Book Club - for teens/young adults - NEW/Revised!
Meets once every 4 to 6 weeks. Each meeting is a stand alone event, come to one, come to all!
Teen Book Clubs
ADULT Book Clubs (18 & over):
Beyond the Book Book Club selects fiction or non-fiction titles that are timely, and are socially, politically or culturally significant. Beyond the Book Book Club meets approximately every other month, on Wednesday evenings.
K's Bookclub selects fiction titles, genre varies. K's bookclub meets one time every other month. Day of week may vary.
Classics With a Twist Book Club. Tackling titles from Tim Federle's Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails With a Literary Twist. Meets every other month, on Friday nights.
Podcast Book Club - off for the summer, will pick up in September!
Every month, join Cathryn to talk about a book relating to a podcast. From true crime and conspiracy to human interest and history, an array of topics will be covered. Books chosen may be both fiction and nonfiction. Listen to the podcast, read the book, and come prepared to chat about both!
Please note: It is our policy that you purchase a copy of the book from Let's Play Books Bookstore prior to participation. If you already own a copy, we'll help you donate your copy to a local organization. We are a bookstore, not a library - we receive no funding, no subsidies, etc. Please help us stay open and operating!
