The Fall 2018 ARC Club is a 4-month program, 1 meeting per month, and includes a food allergy friendly snack. Advance Reader's Copies (ARC's) are books made available to book stores for review and marketing purposes before the title has been actually been published. A minimum of 2 books per month will be distributed to preview, and students are invited to a private meet & greet with any authors that visit the shop during the designated session.
There are 3 ARC Clubs for the fall: Elementary (3rd - 4th/5th*), Middle Grade (5th*/6th-7th) and a TEEN group for grades 8 & up.
Space is limited to 10 students per group.
*5th grade – Select either the Elementary or MG time to best fit the child’s reading & comfort level. Middle grade group will have more adult themed titles available.
Fall 2018 Dates:
Elementary – Sundays at 1pm
Middle Grade - Sundays at 2pm
Teen - Sundays at 2pm (New time)
The shop is open to the public during the meetings. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off for their child’s respective time frame.
- September 16 – Intro day: Program overview, expectations & book distribution. Combined Middle Grade & Teen (just first session).
- October 21 – Book reviews
- November 11 – Book reviews
- December 9 – ARC Party Day: Creation of their best book of the season video.
