Let's Play Books Bookstore is proud to sponsor a five session book/writing group utilizing the book, Dancing With The Gods: Reflections on Life and Art, by Kent Nerburn. Dancing With The Gods will appeal to artists, lovers of art, and readers who make living their art. Marilyn Shoemaker Hazelton, the Book Club facilitator, is a poet and teaching artist with a focus on creativity in art and in life.
There are four main sections in Ken's book: The Journey Begins, Hard Places, The Hidden Secrets, and The Unseen Joys.
Participants should be prepared to discuss the Introduction, Dreams and Fears: Choosing the Artist’s Life for the first session and to write their responses to that reading. The next three sessions will center on The Journey Begins, Hard Places, and The Hidden Secrets with writing responses and sharing.
The fifth and last session will include writing about and sharing on The Unseen Joys, and Mr. Nerburn’s Coda: Expressing the Inexpressible.
Saturdays, March 16, 23, & 30, April 6 & 13 2-3:30pm.
Purchase of the book, from Let's Play Books, is the only cost to this 5-meeting program. To register, please purchase the book here, or call the shop to order & reserve.
