About the book:
When the Heart Brings You Home is a collection of three novellas for the Connor Falls Christmas Series. Set in the fictional small town of Connor Falls, Pennsylvania, each heartwarming story possesses a touch of romance in a setting of close-knit community, family and the inspiration that comes with the holiday season. In Winter Light, a troubled young girl brings back the Christmas Spirit to her struggling single father and the woman he once kissed many years earlier. Two sisters with closely held secrets reunite for Christmas, opening old wounds but ultimately finding the healing power of love in Light the Heart Home. In the third novella, Home for the Holidays, Susan Hardwick yearns for only one thing: to find her way back home. Each novella embraces the complications and comforts of family, the sweet anticipation of loves old and new, the peace and joy found during the holiday season.
About the author:
Robin Maderich--a resident of Lehigh County for more than twenty years--has been both traditionally and independently-published. Her historical, Once and Always (written as Alyssa Deane), was translated and sold in the European market, including Denmark, France and Germany. Hurry Home for Christmas is being re-released in 2022 with updated content and cover in celebration of the November release of When the Heart Brings You Home: A Connor Falls Christmas Collection. In a return to writing for the young adult reader, Ms. Maderich has also penned The Shadows We Make as Jo Allen Ash, her debut as a young adult author. The second book in the dystopian series, The Thrice-Gifted Child, will be released in January 2023. She has also written and illustrated a family read-aloud holiday book, H is for Home. When she is asked how she got her start in writing, she always mentions her first book, a tale about a girl and her horse, naturally, which she enthusiastically authored and illustrated on folded notebook paper when she was seven years old.
