Read Together - Discuss Together: A new book discussion series for teens & adults.

(Adults can be a parent, caregiver, grandparent, etc.)

Read the book, We Are Not Yet Equal: Understanding Our Racial Divide, with your teen - either aloud together, or separate. Read a chapter a day, or more - or less. The book is a Young Adult adaptation of Carol's book, WHITE RAGE. Or, the adult (or perhaps older teen) read White Rage. Review the book descriptions and see which book fits your family the best.

Join us on Wednesday, August 5 at 6 pm and share your thoughts or just listen. The objective is to help educate as well as facilitate conversations our teens want and need, to have. Book(s) can be purchased here - or call the shop at 610-928-8600.

Zoom details will be posted here.

Carol Anderson is the Charles Howard Candler Professor and Chair of African American Studies at Emory University. "An unflinching look at America's long history of structural and institutionalized racism, White Rage is a timely and necessary examination of white anger and aggression towards black America . . . A compelling look at American history, White Rage has never seemed more relevant than it does today." - Bustle, “17 Books On Race Every White Person Needs To Read”

"I’ve read a fair bit of African-American history, but White Rage, by Carol Anderson, which is beautifully written and exhaustively researched, illuminated for me just how deliberately education policy in the United States disenfranchised African-Americans." - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
