Young Writers' Mini-Workshop - closed

This session is not closed. We will be conducting another session in July, date t.b.d.

Let’s Play Books will host a Young Writing Workshop on April 15 taught by local author Kate Racculia. We’ll talk about where ideas (and books) come from, discover how to create characters, worlds, and stories—and you’ll begin writing your own book!

Program is for ages 12 and up (target 12 to 18).

This is a small working group, with a maximum of 10 students, so register as soon as possible.

Members price $30 per writer.
Non-members price $35 per writer.

Kate Racculia is a writer and researcher living in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is the author of two novels, Bellweather Rhapsody, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2014, and This Must Be the Place, published in 2010 by Henry Holt & Company.

Kate studied illustration, design, Jane Austen, and Canada at the University of Buffalo. She has her MFA from Emerson College, and teaches novel writing at Grub Street, Boston’s non-profit creative writing community. She has been a bookseller, a planetarium operator, a coffee jerk, a designer, and a proposal writer.
