Let's Play Bookstore Signing Policies 

Check out this FAQ for our signing policies and what to expect at an event. 

  • How much does it cost to attend a signing?

Most of our in-store receptions/talks/readings are free.  However, if you want to get any books signed, (including audiobooks, t-shirts, etc.), the author's latest book must be purchased from Let's Play Books Bookstore.

  • Why do I have to purchase the author's new book from your store? 

We sell books - that is what a bookstore does. We don't charge for our time or services, we sell books. In addition, attending our events and purchasing the book shows the publisher that they should continue to send authors to us, which is costly. The publisher has to pay for travel and lodging, and the author is spending time away from family and writing. 

  • Will the author sign copies I own of their earlier books?

Yes. Three additional books may be signed. A limit may be imposed for authors who draw very large crowds. 

  • Can I bring food or drink to the event?

Unless provided by the store, food is not permitted at events. We do allow beverages -  but ask that it has a lid!

  • I can't make it to an event, can I still get a book signed?

YES! Give us a call, stop in, or order online and we'll get a book signed or personalized for you.  We offer free media mail shipping for all author event titles. Order the book online at least 24 hours prior to the event (or call the store). In the comments field share any instructions about personalization.
